Why Your Wedding Day Deserves Comfort AND Style

Hey there Brides,

Let’s talk about something we see time and time again after helping thousands of brides on their big day–gorgeous shoes that prove to be miserable by the time the reception rolls around. Trust us, that will just about ruin your day. And we don’t want that for you.

Your wedding day is long. We’re talking 10 to 14 hours of photos, ceremonies, cocktail hours, first dances, and table-hopping. Your shoes aren’t just an accessory. They’re one of the most important decisions you’ll make because they quite literally will carry you through your big day.

You Don’t Have to Choose Between Beautiful and Wearable

The biggest myth in bridal fashion? That stunning shoes have to hurt. The bridal footwear market has completely transformed, and today’s brides have more options than ever to find something that’s both swoon-worthy and kind to their feet.

Block heels have become a serious bridal moment–offering the height of a traditional heel with dramatically more stability. Embellished flats and mules are having a major bridal glow-up too. With the right dress length, flats can be every bit as show-stopping as a stiletto. And you’ll actually be present in your own celebration instead of sneaking off to sit down. Kitten heels are also making a long awaited comeback. They’re as timeless as they are chic–who doesn’t love a combo of both.

What We Always Tells Our Brides

With years under our belt in the wedding space, here’s the advice we give our brides:

  1. Break them in–seriously. Wear your wedding shoes around the house for at least two to three weeks before the big day. Wear them with your dress at your final fitting. Your feet will thank you on the dance floor.

  2. Think about your venue. Outdoor garden wedding? Stiletto heels will sink into the grass. Block heels or flats is a much better choice–and still beautiful.

  3. Prioritize the fit. If you’re in between sizes, we recommend to size up because it’s better for your feet to have a bit more space then to be uncomfortably snug.

The Bottom Line

Your wedding day deserves every bit of magic, joy, and beauty you’ve dreamed of–and that includes feeling good in your body and feet :) Comfort and style aren’t opposites. With the right shoes, they’re the perfect pair.
