How did you and your partner meet, and when did you know they were “the one”?
I always prayed that if God wanted me to have a man in my life that He would send one to my front door. And she literally did! I met my husband Hunter the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of college when I was home for the summer. One day, a friend of mine was coming over to swim and asked if he could bring a friend. That friend turned out to be my future husband! The more I got to know Hunter, the more I saw all the qualities and attributes that I always prayed my husband would have. There was an overwhelming sense of peace surrounding Hunter and our relationship - a feeling that I’ve never had before. As a byproduct of knowing and being around Hunter, I became a better friend to others and I became more physically and mentally healthy. I loved the version of myself when I was with Hunter and it’s been an amazing journey growing together.
What was the most special moment of your wedding day?
The most special moment of my wedding day was the few minutes Hunter and I were able to sit alone together right before the ceremony. The bridal party and the photographer had gone to the ceremony spot while Hunter and I waited together alone for the ceremony to begin. It was the first time all day where we weren’t either separated or taking photos. That time together eased my anxiety and let me take in the fact that this is actually happening!
How did your bridal shoes play a part in your big day?
My bridal shoes were a hit! Everyone who saw them commented on them and our photographer took so many photos where we purposefully accented the shoes! I stayed in them all day and most of the night as well! Someone said, “Wow, you’re still in your heels? Impressive!” My entire look was timeless and elegant, but the shoes were a pop of personality! Also, all of the jewelry I wore on my wedding day was from Kailee P!
