I wanted to love these shoes - they had been on my Pinterest board for months and checked all my boxes for what I was looking for. Unfortunately, when they showed up they looked really cheap in person (like where you could see the outline of my foot through the shoe).

I don't regularly leave reviews, but my experience through the return process have left a really bad taste in my mouth and while the shoes themselves were probably worth two or three stars, the aftermath has made it a zero star buy.

The instructions included in the original return email were as follows:

1. Pack the items you're returning.
2. Print your return label and attach it to the package. Cover any existing shipping labels.
3. Give the package to the carrier identified on the label.

Meanwhile, the following instructions were on the email I just received...
1. Pack all the returned items, along with a print off of your confirmation of purchase email, and a note specifying your RMA number securely in a box. You can use the box the items arrived in or another box if you prefer. ***RETURN WITHOUT RMA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED (NO EXCEPTIONS)***

2. If you are returning for a refund or an exchange and have placed a new order, a prepaid return shipping label is emailed to you separately to the email which is registered with your order (US orders only). Please print the shipping label for your return package and drop off at the local post office.

3. For international orders ONLY, you are responsible for your return shipping label. We DO NOT provide international return shipping label.

4. If you are returning for an exchange and choose not to use the prepaid return shipping label, you may pay for your return shipping with a carrier of your choice. Please return your item to the following address:

4. You will receive an email as soon as we received your return package, and when a refund is issued. Please allow 7-10 business days to process a refund/ an exchange. Returns with prepaid label, the charge will be deducted from your refund.

5. Your item MUST be in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, undamaged or defective merchandise.

6. Returns for orders with free shipping value at less than $100 will be subjected to $7 fee.

7. Returns over $100 will be subjected to 15% RESTOCKING FEE.

Fortunately I had a coupon code to lessen the blow but I'm now not expecting my money back. I knew I was taken a risk when making a purchase from a company that has fees associated with their returns (and I recognize there are costs associated with the return process) but the whole process is inconvenient, not clearly communicated, and means I will not be purchasing from Kailee P again in the future.
